The information we collectPersonal information: Personal information includes identifiable details or opinions. We collect various types of information, such as:

Where you are an Organisation or Employee User: 

  • Identity and Contact Data: Name, telephone number, address and email.

  • Profile and Interaction Data: Username, password, profile picture, and interaction data from surveys that you complete.

  • Technical and Usage Data: device information.

  • Marketing and Communications Data: Preferences for receiving information.

  • Financial and Transaction Data: Payment details.

Where you are a Family Member or Resident:

  • Identity and Contact Data: Name, telephone number, address and email.

  • Profile and Interaction Data: Username, password, profile picture, and interaction data from surveys that you complete.

  • Technical and Usage Data: device information.

  • Marketing and Communications Data: Preferences for receiving information.

Sensitive information: Where you are a Resident, we also may collect your sensitive information in order to provide the services and send alerts to Family Members regarding a Resident. Sensitive information is a subset of personal information that is given a higher level of protection. Where you are a Resident, the kinds of sensitive information that we collect from you include: 

  • your health and medical information;

  • your Medicare number; and 

  • your Power of Attorney details.

How we collect personal information

We collect your data directly from you, through forms, our websites, or when you interact with us. Additionally, we might get information from third parties (such as information about a Family Member where an Organisation provides us with the Family Member’s contact details) or public sources (such as information about your company from ASIC, where you are an Organisation).

Why we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information

Personal Information Usage: We collect, use, and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Software access: Enable you to access and use our software, providing login credentials.

  • Service provision: Create and manage your account.

  • Communication: Contact and respond to support requests, inquiries, and website interactions.

  • Record keeping: Internal record-keeping and administration.

  • Analytics and development: Utilise data for analytics, market research, and business development, enhancing our operations and online platforms. Where we use data for analytics, such data will be in an aggregated and anonymised format. 

  • Advertising and marketing: Send promotional information, run promotions, competitions, and offer benefits (only where you are an Organisation or Employee User and this has been consented to by you). 

  • Legal compliance: Fulfil legal obligations and comply with authorised requirements.

  • Financial Transactions (only where you are an Organisation): Invoicing and billing.

Sensitive information: We only collect, hold, use, and disclose sensitive information for the following purposes:

  • Consent: Any purposes you consent to.

  • Primary Purpose: The main reason for collection, which is to provide you with use of our Brenna application.

  • Secondary Purposes: Purposes directly related to the primary purpose, including disclosure to our IT service providers to store your information.

  • Legal Obligations: If required or authorised by law.

Personal information: We disclose personal information (excluding sensitive information) to third parties when necessary for our business, with your consent, or as permitted by law. This includes disclosure to:

Organisation means an organisation using our services, such as an aged care facility. 

Employee User means an individual representing an Organisation, such as a registered nurse using our services on behalf of an aged care home.

Resident means an individual using our services who is a resident of an aged care home.

Family Member means an individual using our services who is a family member or other contact of a Resident.
